Making Money Online Advice: How To Spot A Scam

So you’ve seen a warning or fallen prey to a scam, right? To novice internet money makers, scams are often impossible to distinguish from legitimate opportunities. Here is my own list of ways to spot a scam from the real thing, so that you can truly make money online.
  1.  Upfront fees or charges – Scams will all request a small or large amount of money upfront before any supposed information, service or income is to be received. Whilst it is important to stress that not all companies who request money before giving you their product are scammers, it is something to watch out for. If a company is requesting money and you just aren’t sure whether it is legitimate, you’re probably better off just staying away, or at least checking for company reviews.
  2. Cash In Hand Payments – If they only offer to pay you cash in hand or through any other means you don’t trust, simply move on and leave this money making opportunity behind you. People make money by taking risks sure, but only by investing your time or money in the right risks will make you rich. So cash in hand opportunities are often illegitimate scams, after all if they are a reputable company why aren’t they bothered about taxes.
  3. Out-of-date Information – Scammers often set up a website offering ways to make money online or at home and then leave it alone to generate income with minimal effort or input. Heck if scammers wanted to work hard for their money they would be looking for legitimate ways to make money themselves, not scamming the people who do. So if you see a website which is providing information which is a couple of years old be wary, you may end up loosing your hard earned cash into a scam investment.
  4. Too good to be true – There are little to no get-rich-quick solutions to the best of my knowledge, so take online content with a pinch of salt. Making money via the internet take time, patience and dedication, so if someone is offering a way to make money online, which simply looks too good to be true, save your cash and keep looking.
  5. Trust your intuition – If you just get an inkling that something just isn’t right about a company or website, be wary. You will probably find that your intuition was right.
  6. Reviews – Whilst it is perfectly easy for companies and scammers to produce fake positive reviews, negative reviews are more likely to be accurate. So if you are unsure about a money making opportunity, look for a review on it, simply type into any search engine the name of the supposed company or product and add ‘review’ to the end of the search option. Also, be sure to create your own review if you do find a scam out there to help all of our money making online community find legitimate ways to make money online.
So, there are my tips on how to spot a scam from a legitimate money making solution. Just be careful and think wisely before parting with any cash and you will be well on your way to making real money online.
